The Safe Congregations Committee (SCC) is a standing committee charged with developing and implementing--along with appropriate committees and staff--policies and procedures to keep people safe and our campus secure. The SCC, with the approval of the Board, establishes general policies and assigns responsibility to the appropriate committee and staff members who develop and maintain practices and procedures to implement these policies. The SCC is responsible for updating policies and monitoring compliance.

Committee Activities:

  • Development and implementation of Safe Congregation Policies.
  • Collaboration with committees, the FCC, UUFWS staff and the Board to ensure that practices and procedures that are put in place comply with Policy.
  • Review of concerns related to safety issues.
