The Rights of Membership

Voting

UUFWS is a democratic institution.  As members, we vote to elect leadership, approve the annual budget and adopt special projects.  Voting typically takes place during annual congregational meetings. Additional congregational meetings are called occasionally to vote on special projects or unusual circumstances. Members are in control of the institution that nurtures their spirituality.

Committee Chairs

Only members can chair committees. This is an opportunity to lead others and live your faith. Unitarian Universalists believe that faith is what you do rather than what you say.

Special Services

The minister will perform weddings, funerals, child dedications and other special services free of charge for members.

Reduced Rentals

Our building is available for parties and special events. Members get a 50 percent discount.

Memorial Garden

Members and their families can be memorialized by the scattering of ashes and placement of a plaque in our peaceful Memorial Garden, near the wooded area behind our Fellowship building.
