Come discuss ingenious, elegant, simple (and not-so-simple) solutions to reduce carbon emissions and heal the planet!  We have the solutions to stop global warming-- what are they and how can we get those solutions implemented?

The topic for May is Food-Part 2.  What we eat turns out to be one of the top two greatest causes of global warming, along with the energy sector, the book declares. Let's explore how we can transform our agriculture practices and personal behaviors to drawndown the amount of carbon in our atmosphere.

We'll be using the book: "Drawdown: The Most Comprehensive Plan Ever Proposed to Reverse Global Warming," edited by Paul Hawken. Each monthly discussion will focus on a “climate fix’ to drawdown the carbon in the atmosphere. See the schedule below. Bring your friends. The public is welcome.  "Book sharing" is available. For more information, contact eco@uufws.org

If you don't have the book, click here for a summary of all of the solutions, by ranking and by sector.

We will meet the Fourth Thursday of the month, excluding June and July, from 6:30-8:00.
