Join us on the Dan River Preserve and Park Paddle, a class 1 section of the Dan River that flows 6.5 miles; (an approximately 3-hour paddle), showcasing Rocks, Trees, and Water! The trip includes a 5.8-mile paddle through the Hammer Stern Wilderness Preserve in Stokes County. The trip ends with a spectacular paddle through a 3/4 mile section at Hanging Rock State Park along the Dan River Bluffs.

There are 40 easy Class 1 rapids on this trip, suitable for beginners. Kayaks are $45 per person and shuttles for personal boats will be approximately $10 depending on the number in the group. Shuttle reservation will be handled by Gus Preschle who will be in contact with you after you sign up with the UUFWS. Shuttlers do not need to registered with Dan River Company.
