2020 WILL BE A TIME OF CHANGE AND OPPORTUNITY AT THE FELLOWSHIP.
Your Board of Trustees believes that it is important for the membership to see the financial interpretation of “living our values and mission.” At the December Congregational Meeting, members affirmed this approach by adopting a mission-based budget by an overwhelming majority.
Based on the Fall pledge drive, however, our projected revenues are short of balancing the budget. We need every member’s help to bring the budget to life.
WE ARE, THEREFORE, ASKING YOU TO CONSIDER INCREASING YOUR 2020 PLEDGE TO HELP CLOSE THIS GAP.
The 2020 budget provides raises for our staff, funds the effort to renew our Green Sanctuary designation, supports our justice projects, fully funds our worship services, provides for an Interim Minister, includes half of our fair share UUA dues (we paid $0 last year). Importantly, it restores program funding for our Committees.
PLEASE INCREASE YOUR PLEDGE NOW TO HELP FULLY FUND THIS BOLD COMMITMENT.
We had a good fund drive, but to fund our mission-driven budget, we need to raise another $55,000. That’s another $300 per pledge unit, or just under $6 per week. If we can raise our average pledge up to $2,300 (less than $200 per month), we can fully fund our values AND add a little to building and grounds reserves. Not everyone will be able to do this at this time, so if you are in a position to do more than the average, it will help us meet our goal.
