It has been an interesting time. And what a roller coaster! Just as we began opening up our worlds again, gathering together and renewing our hope to return to “normalcy,’ we were confronted once again with the need to distance and a return to Zoom. However, we survived the first wave and we will survive this one as well! We began our journey over the bridge and we will make it to the other side. We just need to pause, take a breath and enjoy the view for a moment. 

As we maintain our human connections as best we can during this “pause” on the bridge, we also need to maintain our financial commitment to the Fellowship. As you know,  our fiscal year will change to July 1 – June 30 effective July 1, 2022, and the current budget only carries us through December 31, 2021.  This leaves a six month budget gap for the first half of 2022. Therefore, this fall the Stewardship Committee will request that you reaffirm your pledge for the first half of 2022. We will be conducting a full year Annual Fund Drive next Spring to cover the July 1, 2022 – June 30, 2023 fiscal year.  

In order to finance our first six months next year we are asking you to commit to, at least, maintaining your 2021 level of giving for the first six months of 2022 and, if you are able, please consider increasing your commitment to the UU by 5%.
