From the Care Committee

Who are the folks on the Care Committee, and what support can they offer during these isolating times? Our Committee is strong, with 16 caring general members and 5 trained Lay Ministers. We are supported in our work by volunteers in the general membership, Staff members and several ordained Ministers. Our response to the isolation order was to immediately form a task force to connect with each Fellowship member or supporter.  These connections identified some member needs, and we plan to continue to offer help in these ways (all done safely):

  • regular check-ins by phone, email, or snail mail
  • help accessing and understanding technology tools
  • emergency meal delivery
  • greeting cards to recognize significant life events
  • help navigating on-line food access
  • connecting members with similar interests
  • phone counseling by our trained Lay Ministers
  • phone counseling by ordained Ministers

Please reach out to Care Committee Chair Patricia Ricono at care@uufws.org if we can help.
