You are invited to join to the annual Interfaith Thanksgiving Service.
Focused on giving thanks and community, this tradition began in 1965 when First Christian Church, Knollwood Baptist Church, and Highland Presbyterian came together in prayer and fellowship. This inaugural event developed over time and grew into a moment when diverse religious communities can celebrate our connection to one another with a spirit of gratitude, generosity, and goodwill. Whether you are a part of one of the sponsoring congregations or not, all are welcome and we hope you will join us for a meaningful service, followed by a reception, of light snacks, non-alcoholic drinks and and conversation.
The Thanksgiving Interfaith Service rotates between faith groups each year. This year it is hosted by us here at UUFWS!
As a part of this moment of gratitude, our Interfaith Thanksgiving Service incorporates opportunities to donate an offering of both food and funds that will go to support the work of Crisis Control Ministry as they do all they can to meet the needs of people in our community.
Each congregation has an item they bring to donate to a local food pantry, and ours is boxes of Mac and Cheese!
