What makes you happy? If it’s listening to those old toe-tapping standard tunes from the 30s and 40s, like “Ain’t Misbehavin,” “I Can’t Give You Anything But Love,” “Fly Me To The Moon,” “When You’re Smiling,” “Pennies From Heaven,” “On The Sunnyside Of The Street” you won’t want to miss Swingset at Marguerite’s Coffeehouse!
The band members are: Susie Pollock on fiddle, Synthia Folwell on mandolin and vocals, Bev Jones on rhythm and lead guitar, Mark Leach on vocals and guitar, and Don Speranza on bass. The group has played all over Winston, from Krankie’s Coffee Shop to Reynolda House, giving their audiences a pleasant and nostalgic listening experience.
If anyone has an April birthday, Swingset will be happy to serenade them that night, with an audience singalong!
There is a suggested $5 donation at the door. Coffee and tea provided. You are welcome to bring snacks and drinks to share.
The show starts at 7 and runs a little over an hour. Stephanie Keys will be hosting.
