WEATHER UPDATE: Due to a stormy forecast, the Monday, May 3, session will be a Zoom-only meditation. We look forward to rescheduling the multi-platform gathering later this month.
The May 3 gathering will be multi-platform event. The Zoom link will be the same for those who’d prefer to join digitally. Anyone who shows up at the benches and bird feeders at 11 am on May 3 will walk the Fellowship grounds for a walking meditation or find a quiet spot to sit during the meditation portion of the gathering.
This meditation hour is open to everyone who practices any form of meditation. If you’re not someone who practices meditation/mindfulness but you’re interested and you want to know more, this program is also for you.
The hour begins with a chalice lighting followed by an extended check-in. The check-in flows into a discussion of meditation/mindfulness challenges, successes, and resources. Then we meditate silently for 20 minutes and come back together to wish each other well and to extinguish the chalice. Whether you have a long established practice, are a novice, or would just like to know more–you are welcome at this weekly gathering.
