In “Centering: Navigating Race, Authenticity, and Power in Ministry,” Rev. Dr. Kristen Harper writes about the power of relationships in creating multiracial, antiracist Beloved Community:
“Undaunted, we stumble forward and backward together, transformed by the power of our openness and brokenness.”
Join Angie Vincoli and Jenny Kim in a book read and discussion that explores our own personal and congregational experiences (failures and successes) in moving towards multiracial, antiracist Beloved Community.
Using the book, Mistakes and Miracles, the 2022-2023 UU Common Read, in which co-authors Nancy Palmer Jones and Karin Lin-Greenberg explore the journeys of five different UU congregations and the joy, disappointment, and growth that these congregations found in their journey towards Beloved Community, we invite you to stumble in the right direction with us.
This will be the first of four discussions. Participation is limited to 12. Childcare available.
