Everything we do is Faith Formation. Everything we teach is Unitarian Universalism. The Congregation is the Curriculum. ~ Connie Goodbread
Children Ages 4-11
Children ages 4 through 11 will meet either outdoors on the playground or indoors in the Emerson/Thoreau Rooms depending on the weather and interests of the children. We will affirm one another, our feelings, and our experiences as we observe the wonder of the natural world and ponder our place in it. We will create art and craft projects while sharing conversations. We will share our joys and sorrows with one another. We will connect and build a sense of community while we form relationships with peers and mentors.
Katherine Jones will serve as our primary class leader for this age group. Pam Lepley, our Director of Religious Education (DRE), parents, and other volunteers will assist as needed. Children and class leader(s) will continue to wear a mask whenever we gather regardless of whether we are inside or outdoors. This will help ensure a safer environment for those among us who are unable to be vaccinated or are immune compromised. Class leader(s) are required to be vaccinated for Covid-19.
Parents may drop children off at the door to the Emerson/Thoreau Rooms beginning at 9:45 am* and should be picked up no later than noon.
*Parents who have a volunteer role requiring their presence in the Fellowship or those participating in the Forum or YoUUngish meetings may drop off their children as early as 10 am provided nursery staff and class leaders are available and ready.
