THIS WEEK’S TOPIC
“The Covenants We Keep, Part 1”
During March, the services will be dedicated to the concept and practice of a common covenant. This reflects a shared effort between me, the Worship Committee, and the Committee on Ministry.
An essential element of this effort will be to highlight the Covenant created by the Fellowship in May 2016. Members of the Fellowship will read lines from the Fellowship’s Covenant as part of each service.
I applaud the Committee on Ministry’s effort to help the congregation become more aware of the Fellowship’s Covenant and its importance for the Fellowship’s well-being.
In the first sermon of this series, I will tell two stories that made me keenly aware of the importance of covenants early in my ministry.
Covenant is an old concept, but highly relevant to our society and our lives. I look forward to exploring this with you Sunday. After this Sunday’s service, I will participate in a conversation with anyone who wishes to discuss the themes of my sermon.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
