THIS WEEK’S TOPIC
“Buddha and Jesus on the Meaning of Relationships”
The teachings of Buddha and Jesus include reflections on relationships. Unfortunately, these essential teachings have been largely ignored as people focus on supposedly more important aspects of their teachings. However, both Buddha and Jesus had clear and specific ideas about how relationships should be understood, experienced, and practiced.
The Choir will provide special music, with Dr. Yong Im Federle providing piano accompaniment. Mignon Dobbins will lead the Choir and congregational singing, Pam Lepley will give the Story for All Ages, Don Kautz will present Joys and Sorrows on behalf of the Care Committee, and Riely Woosley will be our Worship Assistant. Special readings are provided by Mitch Termotto.
Rev. Ed Brock will preach on what Buddha and Jesus said about relationships, and he will highlight important work the Committee on Ministry is doing on covenant development. Soon, the Committee on Ministry will develop a revised, updated version of the Fellowship Covenant. This is a momentous event in the life of the Fellowship. Everyone will be invited to participate. As we engage in this process, perhaps it could be helpful to explore what some great spiritual teachers of history taught about relationships.
I look forward to seeing you Sunday.
Speaker: Rev. Ed Brock
Worship Leader: Riely Woosley
