THIS WEEK’S TOPIC
“The Resources of Religious Naturalism, Part 3”
This Sunday, I will conclude my series on Religious Naturalism. In the first two sermons of this series, I spoke about some basic ideas of religious naturalism by highlighting two writers of this movement, Loyal Rue and Ursula Goodenough.
This Sunday, I will approach the subject differently, citing and discussing poets who wrote in the spirit of religious naturalism. Among the poets I will quote from are Wendell Berry, Mary Oliver, David Wagoner, Starhawk, and Native American writers.
Rather than encourage us to think about religious naturalism, these poems invite and inspire us to experience a more robust and intimate relationship to nature.
