THIS WEEK’S TOPIC
“The Angel of History and the Arc of Love”
James Baldwin once wrote, “we are trapped in a history and a history is trapped in us.” The ways in which the U. S. remains trapped in ugly legacies of isolation and injustice are quite evident in this socio-political moment. As we grapple with what one theologian has called the “double viruses” of COVID 19 and 1619, what does it look like for people of faith and good conscious to be agents of healing justice and peace? It requires that we embrace and embody the arc of revolutionary love!
