Location: Reynolda Gardens Join us every Monday at the front of the Reynolda Village Greenhouse (at the stoplight on Reynolda Rd at the Village entrance). We keep a moderate pace, walking through the woods behind the house for about an hour, 2 - 3 miles. The group begins walking promptly at 4pm.

They add a movement, joining together in a looping dance around their queen, the cold outside moving to the warm middle and the middle moving out. With the book All Creation Waits, we wonder, what lessons do our sibling creatures have for us this season?
Location: Big Classroom (Emerson/Thoreau) This talk explores the remarkable rise of the mindfulness movement in contemporary American life—its use in schools, workplaces, healthcare, and beyond—and contrasts that popular understanding with mindfulness as it functions within the Buddhist path. Drawing on insights from both Buddhist teachings and contemporary neuroscience, we’ll consider mindfulness not only as a way to manage stress but as a means of transforming consciousness and deepening our capacity for compassion and wisdom. Anthony) High School youth will explore different faith traditions as they become rooted in Unitarian Universalism. This is a youth-led program with support from adult advisors. Location: Big Classroom (Emerson/Thoreau) Children will begin in the Worship Service with family and then leave Worship with their teachers after the Story. Once in the classroom, the children and teachers will explore stories through cooking and conversation. As time and weather allows, the class may go outdoors for play at the end of the lesson. Location: Labyrith at Trellis On December 29, the in-person gathering will take place at the labyrinth behind Trellis, 101 Hospice Lane, Winston-Salem. The Zoom gathering will meet on Zoom, as usual. If the weather is rainy or icy, there will be no in-person gathering on 12/29.
Location: Reynolda Gardens Join us every Monday at the front of the Reynolda Village Greenhouse (at the stoplight on Reynolda Rd at the Village entrance). We keep a moderate pace, walking through the woods behind the house for about an hour, 2 - 3 miles. The group begins walking promptly at 4pm. |
