Acting "As If" is a concept that is now understood to mean that our actions can change our beliefs, and who we are. The concept began with a 20th century German Philosopher reflecting on the importance of belief, even if we can't prove it's "truth". It became popularized in psychology by an Austrian Doctor and Psychotherapist who was a colleague of Freud's. How does acting "as if" transform our individual and collective lives? How can we live with this abundance of faith in our selves?
