From the Old Salem Visitors Center, we'll walk 1.5 miles at a brisk pace along the greenway to a beautiful and cozy yoga studio in the arts district, enjoy a one-hour yoga class (mats, straps & blocks provided), and then head back to Old Salem for a stroll through the National Historic Landmark District. Total walking distance will be around 4 miles.

Stay and jam with Dale Cole and special guests Cindy Taplin and Bob Costner, singer/songwriters who both grew up in the Winston-Salem area.

Pre-packaged snacks of microwavable popcorn, chocolate, chips, nuts, cookies, dried fruit, canned/bottled drinks, etc. placed in the box in the Foyer throughout the month will be picked up and shared with Easton Elementary School teachers and staff! Fresh fruit and fresh-baked goods, well-wrapped, can be placed in the box on the third Sunday of the month and they will be picked up the next day.

This 53-minute film was shown at the RiverRun Film Festival a couple of years ago. It is about research being done on the cancer fighting & curative properties of the Muscadine Grape. Doctors from NC State, Wake Forest University, Howard University, Morgan State University, and Johns Hopkins University talk about the results they have seen in their studies. More scientific studies have been done since this production.

Starting at the Old Salem Visitor Center, we'll walk 1.5 miles along the greenway to a beautiful and cozy yoga studio in the arts district, enjoy a one-hour yoga class (mats, straps & blocks provided), and then head back to Old Salem for a stroll through Salem College and the National Historic Landmark District. Total walking distance will be around 4 miles. The yoga class is free although space is limited and advance registration is required. The walking component is rated easy. The yoga component is as easy as you want it to be. An email with instructions on how to register for the class will be sent a few days after you register for this event.
