The Mountain is full of life this month as we welcome hundreds of youth to MountainCamp 2024! Our new Camp Director, Ed Smith, has created engaging programs that introduce campers to the incredible biodiversity of this area, as well as nature photography workshops, and so much more. It’s another fun summer at The Mountain!

Elementary MountainCamp: The Mountain comes alive with fun and adventure as our inclusive summer camp experience connects our youth with each other and the great outdoors. From hikes and campfire singalongs to woodland adventures – it’s a great way to spend the summer!

Adult Farm Camp – August 19 – 23, 2024

Roll up your sleeves and experience the joy of farming firsthand. From planting seeds to harvesting crops, you’ll gain practical skills and a deeper appreciation for the regenerative practices that fuel our farm-to-fork philosophy. Enjoy edible plant and mushroom foraging, create medicinal products from our ingredients, learn how to propagate and cook with the local vegetables, and much more!

Capital Campaign

We are making great progress on all of our Capital Campaign projects – from the completion of our brand-new staff housing to a total renovation of the Tower and rebuilding the lake dam – so much is getting accomplished! And it’s all funded through The Roots & Wings Campaign. The goal of this generational investment is $3.2 million to improve our facilities for guests and staff as well as support programs that make a difference in the lives of those who journey to The Mountain.

Food Service Worker

Good food is the heart of The Mountain Retreat and Learning Center. We are hiring for all skill sets so come and learn and serve good, healthy food to our guests!

Advancement Director

This position is responsible for planning, organizing, and directing all aspects of fundraising including major gifts, annual fund, planned giving, special events and Capital Campaign.

Maintenance Manager

Oversee The Mountain property including all buildings, vehicles, roads, trails, and utilities. This person will be very hands on as well as managing the team of 2-4 individuals.

Farm Hand – Seasonal

Farm hands work with the farm managers to help carry out the day-to-day operation of our regenerative Many Hands Peace Farm.
