Weather permitting, gatherings of Meditation Mindfulness will be multi-platform beginning September 20.. The August 30, September 6, and September 13 sessions will be Zoom-only. The Zoom link will stay the same for those who’d prefer to join digitally. Anyone who shows up at the Fellowship at 11 am on Mondays beginning September 20 will walk the Fellowship grounds for a walking meditation or find a quiet spot to sit during the meditation portion of the gathering. We will follow the Board’s approved safety guidelines for outdoor gathering. If the weather prevents us from meeting on the Fellowship grounds, an announcement will be made by noon that day on Facebook and on that day’s website calendar entry. This meditation hour is open to everyone who practices any form of meditation. If you’re not someone who practices meditation/mindfulness but you’re interested and you want to know more, this program is also for you. The hour begins with a chalice lighting followed by an extended check-in. The check-in flows into a discussion of meditation/mindfulness challenges, successes, and resources. Then we meditate silently for 20 minutes and come back together to wish each other well and to extinguish the chalice. Whether you have a long established practice, are a novice, or would just like to know more–you are welcome at this weekly gathering. If you’re unable to attend but you want to know more, email Caron at email@example.com. Join here: https://uufws.org/virtual-meditation-mindfulness
Come share a joy that you experienced this week. Each Friday at 11, we’ll light the chalice and take turns sharing our joyful experiences to kick off the weekend. Did you get that great parking space at the grocery store? Did you connect with a long lost friend? Did you start a new hobby? All joys, big and small, are welcome. If you don’t have a joy to share, join us anyway and bask in the positivity! We look forward to joyful sharing! Click to join the meeting: https://uufws.org/virtual1-Friday_Joys
