Early Morning Nature Walk

Walking 2-3 miles while engaging all your senses with nature is a great way to start the day. As a group develops for this weekly walk, we can make adjustments for future walks, e.g., day, time, location, distance) depending on group preferences. For now, we’ll meet under the picnic table shelter at Long Creek Park in Bethania.

There are two loops to choose from at this park that would take about an hour each (3 miles, and 2 miles) or ambitious folks can do the entire combination of 5 miles. The trails are hilly in places, mostly open meadows with occasional tree cover. Bring sturdy walking shoes, drinking water and a snack. Most of the trails are old paved golf-cart trails although some of the walk will be through low-cut grass which can be wet during the morning hours.
