Forum – Two Years of Listening, Learning, and Leading: The Work of the Forsyth IAF Education Research Action Team with Shirley Simpson

    May 17 @ 9:00 am - 10:15 am Forum
    Big Classroom (Emerson/Thoreau)

Over the past two years, the Forsyth IAF Education Research Action Team has been deeply engaged in listening to families, educators, and community members across Forsyth County to understand their experiences with public education. Through hundreds of conversations and small‑group meetings, the team identified consistent concerns around services for exceptional children and the need for stronger school counseling and student support. In response, they have developed concrete proposals aimed at strengthening EC services and expanding the capacity of school counselors to meet student needs.

This important work will be presented to community leaders at the Forsyth IAF Founding Assembly on June 14, where our county will come together to support meaningful, community‑driven improvements in public education.
