Covenant of UU Pagans (CUUPS) Meeting

We will plant a tree on Fellowship grounds and have a tree blessing outside (weather permitting) to celebrate Earth Day. All are welcome and a sweet treat will be provided.

UUFWS Poetry Celebration in Honor of National Poetry Month

Join us for a celebration of poetry featuring the work of four of our own writers: Marcia Chamberlain, Ed Robson, Barbara Greenbaum, and Janet Joyner. Audience members will have a chance to enjoy the work, buy books, talk to poets, share their own poetry, and just enjoy the beauty of words. This is a free event sponsored by Marguerite's Coffeehouse.

The 2024 Art Gallery will close after Worship Service. All art from the Fellowship Hall, Foyer, and Library must be removed. Thank you to all who participated and volunteered to make this year’s Art Gallery a success!

Salem Swing Band

The Coffeehouse Team invites you to a lively afternoon with Salem Swing Band, the Triad’s premier swing ensemble. Salem Swing Band is a 19-piece big-band that performs regularly throughout the region, playing your swing era favorites by Benny Goodman, Duke Ellington, Glenn Miller, Ella Fitzgerald, Tommy Dorsey, Count Basie, and more. Dedicated to the patrons and supporters of Marguerite's Coffeehouse, this free event will be held outside at the Fellowship (weather permitting), so please bring a lawn chair for seating. If the weather is not ideal, the event will be held inside.

Join SAC and The Coffeehouse Team for performances by award-winning local songwriter Tiffany Thompson, composer and musician Jasil Olabode, and our own Steve Jones, Steve Lawing, Ann Zimmerman, and Marcia Chamberlain. This afternoon of entertainment honors the UUFWS SAC teams for all the good work our membership does for and will do for Winston-Salem. It will also conclude Pride Month 2024 and kick off our UUFWS involvement with the Forsyth IAF and let our members know how they help launch our participation. Bring a dish and/or a beverage to share. Coffee, tea, and water will be available. Donations are welcomed.

Come and explore Poetry! In this gathering we will share poems, talk about what we've read, write a little bit, and then examine what the writing teaches us. Any level of interest or experience is welcome.

We will meet the last Thursday of each month in-person and online.

Bryan O’Kelley Cox is an actor, singer/songwriter, and musician from Hillsborough. So far, he’s released six solo albums, and plays with The Beagles and Break Free. Brian Moyer, hailing from New Jersey, is a songwriter that sings from the heart. His songs explore topics like poverty, gun control, time travel, business, and love. Tonight, they perform as the duo Brian & Bryan.
